You see, it isn't just chaos space marines or traitor primarchs that can ascend to the rank of a daemon prince of chaos, many a times, its a mere mortal human, a dabbler of the arcane or a leader of a cult that are given powers by the ruinous powers to work for their cause. So, the Imperium, would gladly sacrifice a world to save a hundred others from such a threat.
