Here lies a baby, the man to be stricken
The Prince of Peace, our King to come
The Lord who sent fire and hosts from heaven
Now sends his promised Son

God Incarnate, silent Lamb
Born to cleanse the sin of man
Incense, gold and myrrh they bring
Kneeled in humble offering
Glory fills the desert sky
Angels praise the God Most High
All to this small child they sing
Infinite God, now infant King

Proclaimed by the shepherds, Good News of a Saviour
The Christ whom the prophets have foretold
Royalty resting in filthy manger
The humble King behold
