FUNKY CHUNKY Domed Washer Ring - Easy Wirework

This is the first video in my Wirework Ring Series

In this video I show you how easy it is to make a cool funky ring using a hardware store washer and wire. You will learn how to use a dapping block to "dome" the washer and how to antique/patina it after with liver of sulfur. This ring is sure to get noticed and the possibilities are endless.
The smaller the washer, the smaller gauge of wire to use.

If you have weak hands, use 16 gauge or 14 gauge wire.

Tools & Materials:

Steel Ring mandrel
Round nose pliers
Flat nose pliers
Chain nose pliers
Heavy duty flush cutters
Rawhide mallet
Chasing hammer
Regular hammer (for the dapping block)
Steel bench block
Dapping block set
Nylon jaw pliers (optional for holding your work)
16g to 12g soft wire (I used copper) 12" to 18"
Washer of your choice (I used stainless or galvanized steel)
Optional: liver of sulfur & super fine steel wool
