This is part 1 of a multipart series explaining Armor Skills in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. This part is an introduction to what armor skills are, how you get them, and how their different levels work.
Part 1.5 will describe the armor skills that I think are useful and what their different effects are.
Part 2 will explain what Decorations are, what Armor Slots are and how the different levels/sizes of decorations and slots work
Part 3 will talk about Talismans and Melding and how they help you get even more armor skills on your equipment
