Oil Change for 8th gen Honda Civic Si. (LOOK AT DESCRIPTION FOR STEPS)

OIL TO USE 5W-30 FULL SYNTHETIC MOBIL 1
FILTER TO USE: K&N OR MOBIL ONE OIL FILTER
RECOMMENDED AMOUND OF OIL FOR K20Z3: 4.6-4.7 US quarts.
(your car may take more oil, I would say not to go above 5.6 quarts)

Here are the Steps for doing your oil change.

Step 1: Jack up car
Step 2: Take front passenger side wheel off.
Step 3: Get oil drain pan and put it under your cars oil pan
Step 4: Get a breaker bar and loosen your oil drain plug
Step 5: Once loose, use your hand to loosen the plug while applying forward pressure.
Step 6: On the last thread from the drain plug, quickly pull out and let oil drain into pan, (be careful because oil can be hot)
Step 7: Take off oil cap from top of engine so that it causes a vacuum allowing all oil to drain out.
Step 8: Take off old crush washer from drain plug and put the new one on.
Step 9: Once all oil has drained, take a little oil and apply it to the drain plug, and then put it back into the oil pan. (TORQUE TO 30FTLBS)
Step 10: After, reach from the front right wheel well opening to get out the oil filter, should be wrist tight so it shouldn't be too hard to get off (OIL WILL SPILL WHEN TAKING OFF THE FILTER) make sure to keep the filter upright so that any excess oil inside the filter doesn't spill out.
Step 11: Get new oil filter and pour a little of the new oil into the oil filter and around the o-ring on the new filter.
Step 12: Screw new oil filter on wrist tight (make sure it is not loose)
Step 13: Clean excess oil that spilled onto parts from when you were taking off filter using CRC brake cleaner and wipe off(DO NOT SPRAY AXLE BOOT, the brake cleaner can dry it up which could cause cracking and/or ripping)
Step 14: Put wheel back on, make sure you torque the bolts in a star pattern to 80ft/lbs
Step 15: Lower car and take off jack stands(MAKE SURE NOTHING IS UNDER CAR)
Step 16: Fill car up with new oil( FILL UP TO 4.6 QUARTS FIRST)
Step 17: Once filled up engine with 4.6 quarts, turn on car and bring car to LEVEL ground
Step 18: Turn off car and let sit for 3-5min
Step 19: check oil level by taking out dip stick. (IF OIL IS SHOWING TOO LOW, ADD MORE UNTIL IT'S A LITTLE ABOVE THE MIDDLE OF THE TWO HOLES ON DIP STICK)

Once oil is at the correct level, then you should be good.
