Founded in 1971 as part of the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, the Showband quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of marching bands. One of the most remarkable achievements of the Calgary Stampede Showband is its seven World Championship titles in the World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) competitions in West Verginia July 22, 2023. This impressive feat solidified their reputation as one of the best marching bands in the world.
