In the Kingdom of Lugnica, a young man named Subaru Natsuki was born. Born to a man named Jin Natsuki and a ‘woman’ named Kaori. This child was something of an oddity. Not long after Issei’s birth, Jin Natsuki along with Kaori died in a tragic fire, leaving Subaru in the care of his grandfather.

Raised in Arlam village, Issei was a kind boy. Not special by many means, though his body was much stronger than others, naturally. Issei always tried to do his best by other people and live up to the ideals his grandfather laid before him.

One day during a trip to the Capital, Subaru ran into a young woman, a half-elf named Emilia. After assisting her in reclaiming her Seal, Subaru came across an odd object. A finger. His friends back in Arlam Village had told him about such objects. Subaru was interested, and took the finger with him.

After taking the finger, he had been followed by a Knight, named Otto Suwen. After a short confrontation about the artifact Subaru had in his possession, they were ambushed by Majus. In the process, in order to save himself, Otto, and the people of Arlam Village.

After ingesting and combining with the artifact, Subaru Natsuki was sentenced to be privately executed.

This is the story of suffering and the strength that comes with it’s perseverance.
