Join me for a three-day adventure deep into the backcountry of Strathcona Provincial Park as I hike and photograph the stunning Mt. Albert Edward. Starting at the Mt. Washington ski area, this 30-km round trip journey winds through some of Vancouver Island’s most rugged and beautiful landscapes, passing serene lakes, alpine tarns, and vibrant autumn colours—particularly the fiery red and orange hues of blueberry bushes.

With an elevation gain of 1,500 meters, the hike offers sweeping vistas, challenging terrain, and endless photo opportunities. Along the way, I’ll share my experience camping under the stars, tackling steep climbs, and capturing the raw beauty of Mt. Albert Edward in the heart of autumn.
