I know this song is about comphet but man I've always seen the hidden allegory in she-ra related to religion and accepting yourself. The Horde is basically a cult and Catra denied her true feelings in her decision to stay with them. I love that in actual canon there isn't any homophobia, but the fact that the Horde discourages any kind of vulnerability definitely reminds me of the kind of fucked up things way too many queer people irl have to go through with hiding themselves. Catra's the most closeted coded outwardly gay character I've ever seen lol. And honestly this show helped me a lot with my own internalized homophobia so these kinds of themes are not lost on me.

I've been working on this animatic for over a year and I kept running out of motivation and then going back to it, and then running out of motivation, and the cycle continued. Because of that there were a lot of huuuge breaks in between working on it, resulting in a huge change in art quality half the way through lmfao. Then towards the end i stupidly decided to overachieve and add some more frames for a more complete animation which I deeply regret, but i committed to anyway. I'm still glad I finished it, I've been wanting to make and finish a she-ra animatic since 2020 no exaggeration
