Isaac Hobbs - Journeyman Lineman

Isaac Hobbs is a Journeyman Lineman working for West Florida Electric Cooperative. After graduating high school in 2020, Isaac spent over two years as a contractor before joining WFEC, where he now installs, upgrades, and repairs power systems for new and existing members.

Isaac joins Ethan and Kaden Lemieux to share his journey into the world of line work, what it takes to become a lineman, and the differences between working for a contractor versus a cooperative. We also talk about the essential safety gear that protects linemen on the job, the challenges of working in tough weather and traffic conditions, and why linemen are the often forgotten first responders in our communities.
