In 2165, mankind had reached a point of no return. Pollution, radiation, and natural calamities have all combined to create an environmental catastrophe on Earth. It was now obvious that humans needed to leave Earth and look for a new home in the stars if they were to survive as a species.

For a long time, scientists and engineers around the globe and the use of an evoluted AI, joined their forces trying to perfect a spacecraft that could carry a large group of people to a new planet. By 2187, the Hypervellion had been finished. It was a huge ship, well over a kilometer in length, with cutting-edge equipment for quantum propulsion, life support, and artificial intelligence.

Choosing only one million individuals to leave Earth and embark on the Hypervellion community's new voyage was no easy task. Age, health, talents, and genetics were only few of the criteria considered throughout the selection process. Those that were chosen were sent to a new planet where they could begin their lives again, far apart from the environmental hazards that had afflicted Earth.

The ability to store the genetic material from all flora and fauna, as well as DNA sequences and mental states of millions of individuals was a major design goal of the Hypervellion. People who were unable to leave Earth physically had their thoughts scanned and digitalized by advanced AI systems. This enabled their minds, together with their collected memories, ideas, and feelings, to be stored safely. These digital duplicates would be transported to the new planet by the Hypervellion, where they would be recreated in physical form.

The arc endured a long and perilous trip before arriving to a new planet that may provide a fresh start for mankind. The Hypervellion colony successfully relocated, and its members are now thriving in a new environment made possible by their cutting-edge technology. Those who had been left behind on Earth were likewise recreated as digital replicas and welcomed into the community, taking with them all of their prior life's knowledge and experience.

The Hypervellion saved the humanity. The new world provided a sanctuary for mankind, safeguarding their survival amidst ecological devastation, and imparting a valuable lesson to be passed down through the ages.

They called it Eden Prime.
