The Archtop Foundation was set up in 2021 with a mission to raise awareness of the wonders of the acoustic archtop guitar - it occurred to us that one effective way to do this was to acquire the Chinery Blue Guitar Collection and put it in the hands of the world's finest musicians and guitar makers. In May of 2022 we invited two wonderful guitarists and dear friends @tedludwig1451 @PaulAsbell to visit with The Blue Guitar Collection. There was a real feeling that something special was about to happen as the guys started passing the guitars around and @Michael Watts set up some mics and cameras just in case.
As it turns out, what we got was a series of beautiful duet performances with the guitars selected almost at random - first take - sink or swim.
Ted and Paul started playing at mid morning and the last notes were still ringing gone midnight
