The 7 Levels of nWo Members

The NWO didn’t just dominate WCW. It reshaped the entire wrestling industry, ignited the Monday Night Wars, and turned wrestling into must-see television again. But while the black and white shirt became iconic, not every NWO member mattered equally. Some were legends. Some were useful. And some never should have been there in the first place.

In this documentary-style breakdown, we rank every major NWO member into seven distinct levels, based on impact, importance, star power, and how much they actually contributed to the faction’s legacy.

Level 7 looks at the pointless members who added nothing and often actively hurt the group, including names like Vincent, Big Bubba Rogers, Michael Wall Street, and the short-lived Nasty Boys experiment.

Level 6 covers the members who filled space, took beatings, or looked intimidating in the background, such as Miss Elizabeth, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Brian Adams, and The Disciple.

Level 5 examines the jobbers with purpose, including Louis Spicoli, Nick Patrick, The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Dusty Rhodes, and Rick Rude, people who actually helped the NWO function even if they weren’t centerpieces.

Level 4 focuses on legitimate threats like Dennis Rodman, Scott Norton, The Great Muta, Masahiro Chono, and even Fake Sting, members who gave the NWO real credibility and global reach.

Level 3 highlights the star makers, the wrestlers whose careers were elevated by the NWO, including Buff Bagwell, Konnan, The Giant, Curt Hennig, and Scott Steiner.

Level 2 breaks down the essential figures who held the entire angle together behind the scenes and in front of the camera, most notably Randy Savage and Eric Bischoff.

And finally, Level 1 is reserved for the immortals. The true pillars of the NWO era: Sting, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Hollywood Hogan. Without these four, there is no New World Order, no invasion angle, and no golden era of WCW dominance.
