Next up is ‘The Electrical Station’ in ‘Backrooms: Escape Together’! In the last few levels, we faced nail-biting challenges—from collecting coins to escape the Partygoer to tiptoeing past ‘The Scratcher.’ Now, we’ve arrived at the mysterious Electrical Station. It’s a tricky level, but don’t worry—we’ve got your back with a step-by-step guide!
Level Overview
The Electrical Station is divided into four main sections:
1. The generator room (top floor, left side at the first junction).
2. Three floors (3, 2, and 1) accessed via a staircase (right side of the first junction).
Your primary objective is to extend the walk bridge in the generator room to reach the exit. However, the electrical equipment in the generator room is faulty and needs repairs. To fix it, you’ll need wire bundles and electrical tape found on the three floors.
Sounds simple, right? Here’s the catch: these floors are patrolled by Entity 5 (Clump); a fast, silent, and aggressive creature made of human limbs. The entity is less dangerous when the floors are lit, so you’ll need to start the generator using gasoline (scattered around the station) and switch on the lights for each floor. Be warned, the generator runs out of fuel quickly, so you’ll have to stay on your toes! To add to the challenge, each floor is a maze where it’s easy to get lost.
Electrical fuses are your main currency in this level. You’ll need 7 fuses to activate the walk bridge and open special lockers attached to the walls of the different floors containing essential items. Note: once a fuse is used for the lockers or the switch in the generator room, it’s gone, so plan carefully! Fuses also control the doors, but they can be taken and reinserted to open and close the doors respectively.
Strategy
The best approach is to work your way down the floors:
Floor 3: Collect food to manage sanity, 4 electrical tapes, and as much gasoline and fuses as you can carry. Use the fuses to open lockers in the search for items but always keep a few for emergencies to lock doors which can be a life saving act if Entity 5 is chasing you. Take wide turns in the maze to spot the entity early and make a quick escape if needed. When collected the items, return to the generator room to refuel, drop items, and repair the second console using electrical tape. Then, turn on the lights for Floor 2.
Floor 2: Gather 3 wire bundles—they’ll take up a lot of inventory space, so ensure your sanity is stable and you’ve already stocked enough gasoline. After collecting the bundles, return to the generator room, refuel, and repair the third console using a wire bundle and electrical tape. Turn on the lights for Floor 1.
Floor 1: Your goal here is the bolt cutters to unlock the exit chains. Explore carefully, sticking to one direction to avoid getting lost (yes, I got lost on this floor in the video (= ...). Use the cutters to open closets locked with rusty chains if you want extra supplies. When you’re done, head back to the generator room, repair the wires to the walk bridge, and insert all 7 fuses.
Final Step
With everything repaired and powered up, it’s time to cross the walk bridge and escape! Good luck—you’re going to need it.
