Luton is a town and borough in Bedfordshire, England, with a population of around 225,262 as of the 2021 census. Located on the River Lea, it’s about 32 miles northwest of London and 18 miles from Hertford. The town has its roots in a Saxon settlement from the sixth century, which is how it got its name. Historically, Luton appears in the Domesday Book as "Loitone" and "Lintone."

One of the standout landmarks in Luton is St Mary's Church, a stunning 12th-century building, and there are local museums in Wardown Park and Stockwood Park that delve into the town’s rich history.

Luton was once famous for hatmaking and was home to a significant Vauxhall Motors factory, which began car production in 1905 and operated until its closure in 2002. While car manufacturing has ceased, the production of commercial vehicles continues, and Vauxhall’s head office is located in the nearby village of Chalton. Another key feature of Luton is London Luton Airport, which opened in 1938 and has become one of the major airports in the UK. The town also boasts three railway stations and is home to the University of Bedfordshire, formed from a merger with the University of Luton, with two campuses in the area.

Luton Town Football Club, affectionately known as the Hatters due to the town's hatmaking history, has enjoyed several stints in the top flight of English football, including a memorable League Cup victory in 1988. Their home ground, Kenilworth Road, has been in use since 1905, and plans for a new, larger stadium were approved in 2019.

A documentary film (often described simply as a documentary) is a non-fictional motion picture intended to "document reality, primarily for instruction, education or maintaining a historical record".[1] Bill Nichols has characterized the documentary in terms of "a filmmaking practice, a cinematic tradition, and mode of audience reception [that remains] a practice without clear boundaries".[2]

Early documentary films, originally called "actuality films", briefly lasted for one minute or less in most cases. While faithfully depicting true events, these releases possessed no narrative structure per se. Over time, documentaries have evolved to become longer in length and to include more categories. Some examples are educational, observational and docufiction. Documentaries are very informative, and are often used within schools as a resource to teach various principles.
