"Aucklands Queen Street and Aotea Square will be transformed into a colourful and mouth-watering spectacle when the 18th Auckland Diwali Festival takes place October 12 and 13.

Bright lights, energetic dance performances, incredible Indian delicacies culminating in an incredible fireworks display on Sunday evening that will excite and delight festival goers of all ages and ethnicities.

The Auckland Diwali Festival is delivered by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), on behalf of Auckland Council, in conjunction with founding partner Asia New Zealand Foundation.

This free, family-friendly event is a highlight of Auckland’s major events calendar, and one of New Zealand’s largest cultural festivals."
