Saigon is only 800 km away from Bangkok but it is completely different. On my first day, I walk through district 1, visit many historical buildings from French colonial time, including the town hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, the post office and the Opera House. I also walk to Benh Thanh Market and pass one of the still unfinished metro stations.
