How to use Sierra Chart's "Chart Replay" Feature to Become a Better Trader

One of the best things you can do as you progress in your journey as a professional trader is to continually improve your technical and mental skills. Thanks to TRADEPRO Academy, I have discovered Sierra Chart’s Chart Replay feature which allows you replay intraday charts so that you can practice and/or back test a strategy.

In this video I breakdown how to set up two charts with basic studies, and a DOM with the Chart Replay feature.

After this video you will be able to easily practice trading using Sierra Chart’s free trial. However, my recommendation is to setup a brokerage account with AMP Futures, since they offer the basic version of Sierra Chart for free.

****IMPORTANT DO THIS BEFORE STARTING A REPLAY****
-Make sure all the charts have the number of days to load, same session times and are linked with the same number.
-Under Global Settings | Symbol Settings, make sure you select "Yes" for Record Market Depth Data for all the symbols you want to back trade. Also make sure the session times match the charts you are using in the Chart Replay.
-Make sure to click "Do Not Clear Trade Data for Symbol and Account" otherwise the recorded market depth data will be erased.
