Din Tai Fung review in Vancouver is here! It has finally opened its doors in Vancouver, and we had to check out what this iconic Taiwanese restaurant has to offer for vegans! In this episode, we dive into the clearly marked vegan options on the menu, plus a few dishes that can be easily veganized if you let your server know.
A bit of background: Din Tai Fung started in Taiwan in the 1950s as a humble cooking oil shop before evolving into a world-renowned dumpling house, famous for its xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and meticulous attention to quality. With locations around the globe, its expansion to Vancouver has foodies buzzing — and it’s BUSY! Be sure to make a reservation if you plan to dine in.
We were pleasantly surprised by how many vegan-friendly choices they offer, including:

Vegan Hot & Sour Soup
Vegan Rice Cakes
The service was super friendly and efficient, and the staff were knowledgeable about vegan modifications. Everything we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You can also order takeout and delivery if you can’t get a reservation!
