Hi folks…welcome to MTS. Today, I’m getting out an old MTH project locomotive with a bad PS2 board set. In this video I’ll show an affordable solution to get it up and running again.
Quick disclaimer: You will be working with electric so do this at your own risk. It’s a simple solution for a simple fix. Your locomotion will operate in forward only and will not have any of the other functions such as smoke or sounds.

Wiring reference specific to this locomotive:
From the tether:
(-) Black, Green, and Yellow
(+) Red, Grey, and White
Also connected each of the blue wires for the light on the tender. One to (-) and one to (+) on the DC output.
