We took a last-minute thrift trip up to Crossville, Tennessee, looking for good finds to buy and resell for our store, Warehouse 71. The goal was simple—stick to regular home décor and do a little thrifting for profit, no more Christmas. But once we drove up onto the Cumberland Plateau and saw snow caps in the distance, the mood changed fast.
By the time we made it into Crossville, we were already having a great day, and the people there were some of the nicest we’ve met anywhere. We ended up finding so much good stuff that sticking to our “no more Christmas” rule didn’t last long. I’d say we bought about 80 percent Christmas and 20 percent everything else.
We wrapped up the day at a little restaurant just outside of town called The Stagecoach, and it was the perfect way to end a cold but fun day. We really enjoyed Crossville and will definitely be back.
