Lake | Infinity Train

Lake's journey is one the best adventures I have seen in fiction. Period.

The announcement of Book 4 really made me want to make something more Infinity Train, and a lot of personal life anxiety seems to be the perfect motivator for these kinds of videos, for some reason.


This is the first time I've tried to portray my interpretation of a character's journey through fiction, and I think I picked one hell of a journey to portray. Nearly every episode of Book 2 had at-least something in it that talked down to or went against "MT" in such a memorable way. Everything together made her victory a million times more satifying.
A lot of people seem to think her journey is about self-discovery, and I definitely followed that idea at first. But, the more I watch the book the more I don't really agree with that. Throughout the whole thing, "MT" constantly reaffirms the fact that she knows who she is. She knows she is more than a cog in the machine that is the Infinity Train. I believe "MT", as a name, represents how she is trapped, and not how she is lost. She knows her goal and she knows herself. The entire book is about her fighting for the freedom to be who she knows she is. And, finally, when she gets off the train, and is no longer trapped, then she was truly ready for a name lacking all the chains she has held onto for so long.

Music Used: "Uranus - Sleeping at Last"
Usually I have a hard time picking specific music for things like this, but I came to like this one rather quickly. It's a simple song, with just the same bit repeated and slowly getting louder. The music video for it simply shows Uranus, and as the music gets louder, the planet gets closer. This video follows the same principle. As the music gets louder, "MT" gets closer and closer to "Lake", if that makes sense!
