원래는 월터 스콧의 서사시 “호수의 여인” 속 한 장면에 붙인 가곡이지만, 이후 라틴어 기도문과 함께 불리며 오늘날 가장 사랑받는 성스러운 음악으로 자리 잡았습니다.
성탄을 맞이하며 잠시 멈춰 서서 마음을 가다듬고, 경건하고 따뜻한 시간을 가져보는것도 좋을거 같습니다.
Schubert’s “Ave Maria”, composed in 1825, is a timeless masterpiece whose serene, prayer-like melody offers deep peace and comfort.
Originally written as a song set to a scene from “The Lady of the Lake”, a narrative poem by Walter Scott, it later came to be sung with the Latin prayer text and has since become one of the most beloved sacred works.
