Phoenix 2400 mm wingspan with flaps/ airbrakes and powered on 3/4s. This plane has a custom 980KV motor and dualsky 45a ESC.
Flight Review:
This flight was on a cold autumn morning. The first takeoff was in the rain, which slowly built up on the lens. I tested the climb rate, glide rate, flaps, and airbrakes to get a feel for the model and trim it out. At 2:30, I tested the plane's first glide loop. The propeller was free-spinning because I hadn't programmed a brake on the motor.
The first landing was at 6:10, where I used the airbrakes and touched down across the strip. I then changed the plane to 4S to see the difference. It was a fatal flaw. However, when flying on 4S, it had an excellent climb rate, and I ended up landing again at 8:50, clipping the prop on touchdown.
The final takeoff for this propeller was at 9:00. Listen to the voiceover and see the emergency landing as the propeller blade sheared off its hub.
