Masterpiece. 11/10. Not a single flaw. Biggest slay of the year award goes to nam yoonsu and everyone who brought this drama to life despite everything that happened.
Finally, our first long length high budget queer kdrama. And such a good one at that. The world is healing.

It was so SO real, everything and everyone in this drama damn. Loved it all so much, one of my favourite kdramas from this year. It made me feel all the emotions. For me it was not about gyu ho and go young but go young and everyone that came to his life. It was such a fun and beautiful journey to watch all his experiences. From the start i felt it that no relationships would end well. He was just a person with many flaws like everyone else. making mistakes, hurting and getting hurt, painfully growing up and slowly maturing by the end. 'maybe i tore the lantern crossing everything out' he wasn't sure himself what he wanted, his indecisiveness and fears ended up ruining the lantern, which was his relationship with gyu ho, and with others too. First lover gave him so much love, but he was a coward and couldn't accept it, feeling undeserving and burdened with love. Second was not love at all, he was just a bastard. With Habibi was just a sense of familiarity not love, because he seemed to be struggling like him, hiding himself. Gyu ho was his love, but he let him go in fear of holding him back, not realising that he's not the one to decide if it would make gyuho happy or not, it reminded me of myungha how he tried to make yeowoon happy by doing everything himself and only giving, ending up hurting them both. In a relationship both need to decide things together not just one person, and love needs to be there in both good and bad days or it'll just hurt. Maybe kylie played a part in him feeling undeserving. Maybe all the homophobic experiences also played a part of him becoming like that. The ending is satisfactory for me. He has accepted things as they are and is going to live as himself completely. he knows a little more about love and himself, has such amazing friends by his side and is still young. He may meet gyuho again he may not, or may find someone else. In life people come and go, what's important is that lessons are learned. That's just how 'growing up' is.It can be strange, painful and confusing. People are complex, not everyone learns things the easy way or mature easily. For me It was about his growth. I enjoyed his journey and experiences. Loved the struggles it showed so well too esp of the queer. Loved all his friends and mi ae, made me miss my own friends from college and our fun days. Loved every second of this show. Nothing felt out of place and it all was connected and needed. Enough yapping for today (hit word limit💀)

Maybe i won't use this style anymore unless i improve at it or learn some new things to add to it, it'll get too boring and repetitive to do. Overlay clusterf-ck style.. you will be missed (maybenot)
This one was a challenge to myself because it's not just a couple but everyone and too much included, it took too much effort and thought, it's the longest one of this style too. One of the hardest ones I've made considering everything. Even though the result is a mess (as long as i live I'll never stop trash talking my edits it's a habit now) I'm glad i could complete it. the satisfaction of completion is all i needed, that i could do it after all. And it was fun so idc about this mess anymore. Can't believe i missed workout for two days just to complete this.. so stupid. now I'll dip. goodnight to me.
