In Pakistan only 2% of the total oil transportation in the country is through railways. Pakistan Railways operates 5,400 approx. tank wagons for transporting fuel oils on its network. However, its movement capacity is hampered by locomotive availability and infrastructure constraints. Therefore, trainspotters spot very few oil tanker trains in their selected spots.
