James Robinson: The World Is Rebalancing | Endgame

James Robinson is a British economist and political scientist who is a Professor of Global Conflict Studies at the University of Chicago and the Director of The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts. He is also the co-author (with Daron Acemoglu) of some influential books and articles, including “Why Nations Fail” (2012), “The Narrow Corridor” (2019), “Non-Modernization: Power-Culture Trajectories and the Dynamics of Political Institutions” (2021), and “Culture, Institutions and Social Equilibria: A Framework” (2021).

About the Host:
Gita Wirjawan is an Indonesian entrepreneur, educator, and Honorary Professor of Politics and International Relations at the School of Politics and International Relations, University of Nottingham. He is also a visiting scholar at The Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) at Stanford University (2022—2024) and a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
