Six people have been reported dead after a small aircraft crashed and burst into flames in Philadelphia.
Police sources told Fox 29, a local news station, that it was a medical flight and the victims were the two pilots, two doctors, a patient and a family member. Philadelphia police had yet to confirm the toll and did not say whether there were any fatalities on the ground.
An explosion was captured by a doorbell camera at 6:07pm local time on Friday. Videos shared on social media showed emergency responders arriving on the scene in the northeast of the city, in the Castor Gardens neighbourhood. Several homes are on fire in the area of Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard.
