I work on the roots of three of my small bonsai trees – a small elm forest, an English oak, and a hardy sedum (Sunsparkler 'Lime Zinger').
Although I first potted the elms and oak only last year, roots have filled the small pots that they are growing in, and I suspect they will grow with more vigor this coming growing season if I give the roots a trim.
The hardy sedum, which has been in the same tiny pot for four years and whose pot was damaged by frost this winter, is also in need of a repot. I also show off another recently created hardy succulent bonsai, a delosperma ‘Jewel of Desert Sunstone’.
