Vikings 5x10 Reaction

the last one for a while guys

this midseason has probably been 10 episodes for most of you but for us its the end of 8 months of living with this show, at no point did we have a break, cause if were not posting we were watching, when we were not watching we were posting, so it's been 8 months of us doing this and this is the last video for a while and honestly its a much needed break for me cause the editing for vikings broke me

anyways ill stop complaining. we both really enjoyed this episode, the way it was shot and edited, it felt different than any other vikings episode we watched, cause the fighting wasn't just about the fighting but it was more about the characters individually and that was a really nice change of pace imo

there were so many amazing scenes in this episode but the ones that stood out the most were the scenes between halfdan and harold, lagertha and astrid, ubbe and hvitserk.
this episode also gave us more insight into hvitserks character and i hope s5b follows more with that. astrid and halfdans deaths were heartbreaking even though it was clear they were gonna die.

the ending was surprising, we didnt expect lagertha to be grey, i now guess it was the stress (i remember vaguely reading in elementary school about people in a bus that got swallowed by a tornado and survived but a lot of them turned grey so this war might as well be the tornado) and now im worried about her mental health in the second half of the season.
rollo is back! why? i have no clue but i really missed him and cant wait to see what happens with that storyline, also he has some explaining to do.

i dont know where we go from here. lagertha bjorn and ubbe lost and now they're leaving, are they gonna gather forces and try to get kattegat back or is ivar gonna follow them cause he wants revenge. i dont know where we're going but im excited to find out
