In this video I will teardown and inspect the Master Cylinder !
I determine that the bore cannot be repaired by honing !
Ship it to Brake Materials and Parts in FT Wayne Indiana where they rebuild it by installing a stainless steel sleeve in the bore and ship it back to me !
When I receive the MC: I bench bleed and install it in the Scout. Then I tighten all the lines and bleed the front brakes ! Bonus: I didn't like the routing of the brake line from the MC so I built a new line and showed how to Double Flair a Brake Line ! My Mission is to create a series of videos documenting the total restoration of a 1966 International Scout 800 to Concours condition.
