This footage is probably the oldest one I'll post, recorded this several months ago. Never uploaded it because I was too lazy to work on getting everything done.
The "hardest" fight from Remains of... Something according to the game, while I would still argue none of the boss fights made here are particularly challenging I would argue that "A Fools Rematch" is harder. Only reason I could see this fight being harder is because you have less lives, but I deathlessed everything anyways. From what I remember this fight only took me 2 attempts to deathless so overall not a very challenging fight. This fight does have a ton of different phases though, which feels weird because usually Granite just uses sub phases rather than having complete transitions each time a new attack or mechanic is introduced, combine that with a ranged weapon and this doesn't feel like a Granite boss fight to me. The fight is still good, just different.
Theres a lot of phases so I'll just split it into 3 actual phases based on the health bars. Phase 1, theres four main attacks being the ground slam which just requires you to back away, the jump attack which just requires you to move a little out of the way, and then you have the homing attack and six spin dash attack. The homing attack has DX target the player and dash at them from above three times, just go in a circle to avoid it. The six spin dash attack can either start with 2 long dashes and then do 4 short dashes or do the vice versa, basically just circle to avoid it as well. Upon losing around 1/4 hp DX's appearance changes and adds extra projectiles to every attack, only new attack is their ability to summon explosions around the map, so not much has really changed.
Phase 2, DX changes model and gains a completely new pool of moves. They have a dash that shoots projectiles in all directions, they have a teleport to the player, they can slam the ground to summon pillars in two different formations, they can shoot exploding blasts that actually do a lot of damage, and lastly they can shoot some tracking bullets similar to Mami Tomoe in "A Fools Rematch". Overall simple self explanatory attacks. Upon reaching around half HP DX slows down a lot and changes arena, they also change most of their moves. DX can now slam the ground to create tons of blocks, sweep an area in front of them with projectiles, slam the ground to create pools of damage in a spiral, create giant bubbles in all directions, and lastly they buffed their dash attack so that it now shrouds the player in darkness before dashing. A new passive as well is that a lot of the projectiles will linger in place after reaching their destination. This phase is all about the boss denying space for you to move and overall is very refreshing in the fight, just wish it was longer since you can end it pretty quickly.
Phase 3, everything turns black and red and the fight starts reaching its conclusion. DX now passively creates black and red rectangles to cover your screen and limit visibility. For buffed attacks, DX's pillar summon attack appears faster, their sweep attack now creates two pillars as well as shooting red bricks instead of dark projectiles like earlier, their exploding bullets attack now shoots further and more accurately so that's an actual threat, their dash attack now shoots two waves of projectiles and is much faster than before, and lastly the tracking bullets make a return with there being slightly more of them. For new attacks, DX can summon red lines across the whole map and then reactivate them into damaging lasers and they can also create homing dark projectiles. Upon getting low DX will become invincible and will take you down to 1 life no matter what, they will throw all their Phase 3 attacks at you as well as having passive laser spawn and some buffed explosion attacks. Ultimately just survive for a short bit and remember how to dodge Phase 3 and you should win
