A historical moment.
Finally, after 30 years, a BMW-March M1 is back in a race.
This is actually the very first time that a BMW-March M1 has managed a full racing distance.. it's the first time that a BMW-March M1 has raced on German soil.. it's the first time a BMW-March M1 has won a trophy.
2nd place behind a Porsche 935 K3 and lapped the rest of the field.
It was my 2nd time in the car after a short test a week before.

BMW-March M1 1979.
The ex-Rusty Jones BMW of Busby, Jenner and Knoop.
Designed for Group 5 with M1 turbo engine to become a legend, but raced with M1 Procar engine and two types of Chevrolet Small Block's in IMSA GTX and IMSA GTP because BMW stopped developing the Turbo and decided to concentrate on F1.
Latest 6 litre small block still installed. It should be good for 700hp but it's probably producing something like 550 at the moment.
Less then 1000kg's.
Hewland LG600 dogbox (double clutching necessary).
