IT’S TIME TO STEP UP

IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO STEP UP.

“Moses my servant is dead. Now then, YOU…” (Joshua 1:2)

We hear a lot about the changing of the guard.

Often we talk about Saul and David.

Saul was a leader who did not finish well. And we have seen many examples of that.

But there is another changing of the guard happening.

It’s from Moses to Joshua.

Moses did finish well.

Yet, the Lord removed him to make room for Joshua to lead the people into the promise.

I believe in these days, God is calling a new generation to rise up and step into places and positions and roles and responsibilities that have been occupied by the generation above us.

Not to push them out, or usurp their authority.

But to pay attention as God removes and repositions some of them - and be ready and willing to step up and lead.

Before we can do that, we must be willing to acknowledge that the old is gone.

We must release and relinquish that which is part of our past.

We honor it and give thanks for it and build upon it. But we let it go.

And we must be willing to embrace the new.

To realize - this is our time.

To step into the new level the Lord is leading us into.

Moses was a peace time leader. They never had to fight any battles in the wilderness.

But this is a war time we are now living through.

It requires a different type of leader. The Joshua type.

A warrior mentality.
An unwillingness to compromise.
A rugged determinedness.
A pioneer mindset.
A desire to advance and take new territory.
A refusal to settle.

Moses is dead. Now. Then. You.

It’s your time. It’s your turn.
