The Svartisen Glacier is Norway’s second largest glacier and we take you to visit the most popular way to see this glacier in person! Svartisen Glacier has some 60 outlet (or tongue) glaciers, one of which is Engabreen Glacier which we visit in this episode. Engabreen comes within 200 meters of sea level, making it the most accessible glacier in Norway.
The beautiful glacial lake and the rugged rocky mountain leading up to Engabreen’s snout is nothing if not stunning. Be sure to watch the whole video as one of the most amazing aspect of glaciers is the waterfalls and gorges produced by these wonders.
