Cliff Beach is located on the western side of Isle of Lewis (Outer Hebrides in Scotland). It is beautiful stretch of light cream sand partially separated from the mainland by a narrow river mouth. The red tint of the river water, bright blue colour of the ocean, smooth, cream colour of the sand and vivid green grass on the edge of the beach are creating incredible cake-like layers when seen from above. True to its name, the beach is flanked by cliffs (much higher on the left side). They add a feel of coziness and solitude. We passed this beach few times during our visit to Lewis, when we were heading to better known Reef Beach, which is located just a mile or two to the east from Cliff Beach, but we didn't actually stop there until the last day of our trip, and I must say - it was definitely worth it!
