DIY Spiderman Costume Part 1 - Cheap and Easy

Had a request for a DIY Spiderman costume (various pieces) from Spidey209, Nathaniel, Delano, Mac Tangin77, Carrieray. So here's the first part of the tutorial showing how to make the top half of the costume, to be followed next week by the mask, and the remainder of the costume the week after. This is sort of a cross between the Spider-Man Homecoming suit and the Tobey Maguire version in that it's mostly the Tom Holland design, but I added the Tobey Maguire-era puffy paint, because I like the added texture.
This is a bit of a time-consuming DIY Spiderman costume (particularly if you choose to do the puffy paint), but it's very cheap to make (The 2 shirts I used for this I picked up for about $3 each at my local Salvation Army, so check your 2nd hand shops). There's also no sewing on this part of the costume, just glue, which makes it pretty easy to assemble. MATERIALS NEEDED:
1 Red turtleneck
1 long-sleeved blue shirt
6 inches of fake black leather (stretchable if you can find it)

Blue fabric marker
2 drinking straws
Metallic silver paint
Scrap pieces of 3mm craft foam
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Black puffy paint (optional)
