Join me in the mountains of southern Yunnan, China, for one of the most colorful and joyful celebrations of spring — the Hani Spring Festivals in Honghe.

In this video, we experience two important cultural events:
🌾 The “Kaiyangmen” Festival, a traditional Hani ceremony marking the start of rice planting season. It’s a sacred day to honor nature and pray for a good harvest.
💃 The “Yang Ana” Festival, also called the “Girls’ Festival,” is a celebration of love, life, and women in the Yi-che (Yiche) branch of the Hani people.

Through lively village parades, traditional dances, and stunning ethnic costumes, you’ll discover how the Hani people express their deep connection with nature, agriculture, and community. From terrace farming rituals to horse caravans and silver jewelry, every detail reflects centuries of living in harmony with the land.

📍 Honghe Prefecture, home to the famous UNESCO rice terraces, is also a cultural crossroads where ancient traditions meet modern joy.
