DIY Screenprinting Exposure Unit and DIY Printing Screen

I was having a difficult time finding DIY screenprinting tutorials that provided more than basic instructions, so I decided to make a 3 part series on my DIY screenprinting set-up! The first items I made were a screen and an exposure unit. The supplies needed are fairly basic, but there was still a learning curve, which I try to explain in this video! I will eventually be screenprinting on fabric with water based ink, so all my supplies are geared towards that. I hope you find it helpful and I've listed all my supplies below.

Printing Screen Supplies:
140M mesh (although next time I'm going to try 150): https://amzn.to/3yGJPwq
2x2 boards for frame
staple gun and staples
#8 3" construction screws (quantity 8)

Exposure Unit Supplies:
500W halogen light: https://amzn.to/3wxtOHz
3/4" or 1" PVC tube - length depends on how big your screens will be. I used 3/4"
6 Elbows
2 Tees
2 end caps
2 U bolts (that we needed to bend to fit the 3/4" PVC) to attach light to PVC
PVC glue
PVC cutters

For the foam insert I used a piece of regular density upholstery foam and black fabric.
