Wrapping your porch posts in a PVC trim board such as Azek, Koma or Versatex can be a great way to dress up your house while avoiding problems like rot or insect damage. After wrapping the posts you can trim out the top and bottom of the columns with mouldings as you wish. However, working with long PVC boards can be difficult and mixing PVC with wood can be a problem too. In this video I'll share a jig I use in my shop to put three sides of a post wrap together as an assembly. Then I can bring that assembly and the fourth side to the jobsite for final installation.
