January STILL Sucks in the Mentawais, and Girls Can't Surf (LIES!!!)

Despite a world of people telling them it was a bad idea, Dave and Sandy English, Hurlz, Kingy, and the gang returned again in January, this trip being in January 2019. And this time, Sandy, who has 15+ Australian State and 22+ NSW State titles (it's hard to keep track!!), brought a few of her lady friends with her.

None of them got the memo that chicks can't surf, and they proceeded to hack the crap out of many lips just like their male compatriots. And NONE of the guests, male or female, got the memo that there are no waves in January. So, as Bruce Brown once said, they had a great time on those "fun little things, whatever they are." Beautiful early-season weather and virtually no crowds never hurt, either.
