This is Episode 8 of our U.S. Conquest run.

Deep in the marshlands, every movement becomes a wager. The battlefield collapses into a narrow causeway where one wrong turn means sinking into mud or drifting into a kill zone. Fog rolls across the low ground, hiding more than the trees—it hides intention, ambush, and the quiet patience of an enemy waiting for the perfect shot. Engines strain, shells thunder through the mist, and visibility dissolves into smoke and rain. Each advance feels blind, each halt feels dangerous.

Then the trap tightens. German guns open from concealed angles, infantry pushes through the reeds, and the causeway turns into a corridor of fire. Shermans struggle for traction as explosions churn the ground around them. Every meter becomes its own battle: bogged tracks, ricocheting rounds, and the fear of sliding sideways into disaster. In the end, survival hinges on momentum—a single committed push through the mud to break the ambush before the swamp closes for good.
