Some FUNKY That I Used To Know | CDK Mashup

A mashup of two songs I like for a dance video I like as well.

When I first saw CDK's original dance video, I enjoyed its dialogue with Gotye's song. I also felt that a snappy beat, like that of Uptown Funk, would complement their energetic choreography. I mashed the two songs together and am happy to share the result.

I refrained from making significant alterations to the original pieces to celebrate the naturalness by which they combine. It also allowed me to meet my strict deadline of no more than 24 hours of work from start to finish, which was also an excellent antidote to my often debilitating perfectionism - "good enough" is better than "perfect." Given more time, I may have accentuated the video with After Effects, adding light splashes, zooms, and camera shakes, but I won't.
