Bistritsa during Autumn (Sofia, Bulgaria) | DJI Neo
Bistritsa is a large village in the Pancharevo district of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, located at 15 km to the south of the city center. The village is situated at an altitude of 950 m on the northeastern foothills of the Vitosha mountain range facing the Sofia Valley to the north. The rivers Yanchovska and Stara reka merge in the village to form the Vitoshka Bistritsa, which flows into the Iskar at Lake Pancharevo a few kilometers to the east. It falls within the transitional continental climatic zone with alpine influence from Vitosha. The soils are cinnamon forest.[
