Join us for one of the most terrifying passages we've ever faced! Leaving Delaware Bay, we set a course 70 km north, expecting a relatively easy sail with only a 30 km/h wind. What we didn't expect were massive 10-foot waves charging straight at us! For nearly 6 hours, our yacht was jumping and crashing as we fought the relentless head-on seas. Turning back was too risky—a beam-sea would have meant a high chance of a dangerous roll-over. With land over 25 km away, we had to push through, fully aware that any failure could have been catastrophic.
