On the very first episode of THERE'S GOTTA BE A BODY!, Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the 1963 episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour called "Dear Uncle George," starring Gene Barry as Johnny Chambers, aka Uncle George, a nationally known advice columnist who finds out his wife (Patricia Donahue) is cheating on him and concocts a plan to get away with her murder. But first he has to clear the name of his friend, Tom Estero, played by a baby-faced Dabney Coleman.
Kateline is a new viewer to The Alfred Hitchcock Hour and Kurt Money enjoys giving her the lowdown on this banger of an episode, and also a quick tour down Sitcom History Lane, discussing the first shows to show a married couple in bed together (Mary Kay and Johnny, The Flintstones, The Munsters) and of course discuss how much this episode has to do with Columbo. It has a story written by William Link and Richard Levinson, the future creators of Columbo starring Peter Falk, and Gene Barry, the star of this episode, was Columbo’s first villain on screen in the 1968 made for tv movie PRESCRIPTION: MURDER.
THERE’S GOTTA BE A BODY is the new show where once a week Kurt Money and Kateline breakdown an episode of television beat by beat. What kind of television? It can be a new show, it can be an old show, it could be a mystery thriller or it could be an action comedy, just as long as the episode fits their one criteria….THERE’S GOTTA BE A BODY!
