YOGA DAY COUNTDOWN BEGINS AT IHSM ISSYK-KUL CAMPUS l2025

On May 2, 2025, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Mr. Birender Singh Yadav, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kyrgyz Republic, to its scenic Issyk-Kul Campus. The ambassador was greeted by Rector of IHSM Stalbek M. Akhunbaev, Vice-Rector of the Issyk-Kul Campus Daniial Sh. Chyngyshpaev, Vice-Dean Sagyndyk K. Venera, and Campus Coordinator Sandhya Yellampalli, along with IHSM students. During his visit, Ambassador Yadav toured the campus grounds and engaged with students, learning more about the academic environment and facilities of the Issyk-Kul branch.
A special highlight of the visit was a yoga session held on the beach of Issyk-Kul Lake, which is part of the campus territory. This session marked the 50-day countdown to the 11th International Day of Yoga (#IDY2025). IHSM is proud to host this global event annually on its Issyk-Kul Campus, promoting wellness, mindfulness, and cultural unity. The visit reinforced the strong educational and cultural ties between IHSM and the Embassy of India, while showcasing the unique setting IHSM provides for both academic excellence and holistic development.
