Star Wars The Last Jedi promises us answers to our most burning questions, and hopefully it will give us a little more info on How to Kill Jedi. In the Last Jedi, Luke is one of the few adherents left of the once proud Jedi Order, the valiant knights who protected the Star Wars Galaxy and fought so bravely in the Clone Wars. Of course, in war there are casualties, and the Galaxy is littered with plenty of dead Jedi. The Star Wars death count is extremely sobering. The biggest Star Wars kill count comes from Imperials who died on their massive ships, but between all the lightsaber duels, skirmishes in Star Wars Clone Wars, and of course, Order 66, the brilliant masterstroke from Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, countless Jedi have fallen during the Star Wars saga.

From the Star Wars prequels, Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith, to the classic Star Wars Original Trilogy, Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and now the Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy, Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens, Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi, and the still unknown Star Wars Episode IX, the Force is locked in a constant struggle between the Light Side of the Force and the Dark Side of the Force. Valiant Jedi warriors like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Luke Skywalker and Yoda have face countless trials in their battle against the sinister Sith, and not all of them lived to tell the tale. Anakin Skywalker, Darth Sidious, Count Dooku, Darth Maul, Savage Opress, Cad Bane, and other dark warriors have slain innumerable amounts of Jedi over the years, growing stronger with each lightsaber duel. The Star Wars Rebels have a hard enough time dealing with the Imperial army, and they’d have a much easier time is more Jedi had stayed alive during the Star Wars movies, Star Wars books, Star Wars games, and Star Wars TV shows. Still, if we’ve learned anything from the Star Wars saga, it’s that the Light Side of the Force will always triumph. But we’ve also learned How to Kill Jedi.
