Differentials are an essential mechanism in every car we drive today. They are also important for anyone looking to make a car-style EV3 robot. Differentials enable the drive wheels on an axle to spin at different speeds as the EV3 robot turns. Within the realm of LEGO Technic, there are two different types of differentials that we can use with our EV3 robots: the parallel differential and the 90-degree differential.
