Aquanima 40 "Solar Eclipse" Solar Yacht leaving the yard in Bali!

The first miles of any boat are always a moving moment as they mark the beginning of an exciting long life full of emotions. It is even more so when the boat in question is completely novel in her design and concept. Watch the very first maneuvers and trials of our brand new Aquanima 40 "Solar Eclipse" only 2 days after she touched the water for the first time! We took our craftsmen onboard for them to enjoy the fruit of their meticulous labor.
Eclipse left the yard without any issue and was tested in maneuvers and speed while all parameters were carefully monitored. After a couple of hours and a tight maneuver for med mooring alongside a super yacht, she was berthed safely in Benoa Marina, Bali. By the time the anchor was dropped, the batteries were already topped up, meaning that these first miles with Eclipse were entirely powered by the sun and left nothing behind but solar glitters. This is the new realm our Aquanima range of solar-powered vessels promises to bring to the yachting scene!

Solar Eclipse is the first Aquanima 40 built by Azura Marine. She is 11,5 m long at the water line and 13,25 m overall. With a beam of 6 m and draft of 80 cm, she is the expression of Azura's philosophy: Limitless Eco-Sailing! She collects and produces her own energy both for propulsion and domestic usage and does the same with water. Water and energy, the two main ingredients required for long expeditions without the burden of planning refueling and water supply stops...and their associated costs!

Eclipse sports a powerful 10 kW solar roof, 2 x 10 kW electric motors, air conditioning, water maker, water catcher, dive compressor, back up generator and all amenities to make life onboard as comfortable as at home. In addition, she is equipped with more than 30 dimmable ceiling LED lights, 10 LED underwater lights, bulwark and solar roof lights to make her shine in the the dusk and at night. She can cruise comfortably with 8 persons onboard split in 4 cabins and the saloon with a table that converts into a large additional bed.
